Our gun belts are constructed of the finest strapping leather obtainable; and are cut on a curve, providing immediate fit and comfort. In addition, they are constructed from two pieces of 8oz. leather. The backside of the outer ply of leather is skived on the edges to create a domed belt, just as a fine dress belt is treated. This not only enhances the look of the belt, but makes the belt edge thinner than most belts made for use with firearms. They are stitched around the perimeter just like a fine dress belt. THEY DO NOT LOOK LIKE GUN BELTS! Buckles are of solid brass or chrome plated brass. It can not be stressed enough that a holster is only as good as the belt that it is attached to. (URBAN GUN BELT-SLIM)
This belt is almost indistinguishable from a fine dress belt. It is only slightly thicker than a dress belt, but offers more than enough support for carrying a sidearm and magazine case. The leather used to construct this belt is much thinner that that used on the standard UGB. The thread and stitch spacing are also smaller, as with a dress belt. A closed cell membrane is sewn in between the layers, which gives the belt incredible lateral rigidity. This belt is, as are each of our belts, cut on a curve for immediate comfort. The membrane does not add any discomfort due to its unique properties which allow it to change shape, with your body heat activating it. The membrane also increases the life of the belt, because it will not fatigue or allow the belt to stretch. Those in the know, will not know you are wearing a gun belt. (URBAN GUN BELT-TAPERED)
This belt is the same as the standard UGB, but with tapered ends. When seen under a suit or jacket, only the tapered width is visible, thereby enhancing the concealment function, while still giving the holster the additional support of a wider belt. This is important as we cannot accept exchanges, or returns on belts made to the size indicated on your order.ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!
Lay your belt out flat and measure from the inside far edge of the buckle (A) to the hole that you currently use (B). Please remember when ordering, to take into account any holster or accessory that will be worn inside the waistband and add extra length as needed. Bulman Gunleather will not be held responsible for inadequate measurements that are provided to us which do not take into account the intended use of the belt. Any extra length that is needed, is to be determined by you according to your specific needs. On average, 2 inches of extra length will usually suffice for an IWB holster, but there is no set formula for determining that factor as everyone can be a bit different. The most accurate method of determining the proper length is to take a measurement with the actual gear you will be carrying in place. If you don't already have an IWB holster, you can always tuck your un-loaded weapon into the waistband, at the position in which the IWB holster will be worn, usually at about 3 to 4 O'clock. With your belt in place over the gun, take note of which adjustment hole the tongue of your buckle is now in and measure your belt as described and pictured above. The same instructions would apply to any other accessories you may wish to carry IWB. The measurement that you provide to us will be the center hole on your new belt. The hole spacing on all of our belts is 3/4" from center to center of the 5 holes. Please feel free to give us a call for any clarification you may need on how to measure.
